Shaun Biel, Director of Property Management, and Michelle Mixon, Accountant, have over 50 years of combined experience in property management. Collectively, we are excited for you to get to know our team as we grow our business.

Director of Property Management

Shaun Biel

“I chose property management as a career because I am passionate about maximizing the value and profitability of real estate.”

Shaun has 30+ years of real estate experience in the West Michigan market. His leadership, collaborative, and critical thinking skills are an asset to our Property Management division.

His previous roles in private and corporate real estate have given him experience in the management and development of commercial buildings, allowing him to guide our advisors and clients in identifying and implementing operational efficiencies that deliver value to their properties.

Currently, Shaun serves as the Director of Property Management at Advantage Commercial Real Estate. He leads the management team, directs the capital improvement projects, oversees the maintenance at the properties we manage, and manages the financial reporting to our clients.

Lead Maintenance Technician

Roger Haveman

West Michigan has always been home for Roger. He appreciates the diversity and opportunities that the market offers. By living and working in Grand Rapids, Roger is able to play a small part in what makes the area great.
Roger is well-versed in all things maintenance. His extensive background in facilities management has given him the necessary experience to service our property management clientele with excellence.
As the lead maintenance technician, Roger works alongside the property management team to ensure that all maintenance requests are completed correctly and in a timely fashion.
Roger delivers the highest level of service through responsive, consistent, positive and professional interactions with team members, tenants, owners, and clients.

Michelle Mixon

With over 22 years of corporate accounting experience, Michelle has strong analytical skills with a proven record of analyzing financial statements. Her past experiences through her senior accounting, accounts receivable, and staff accountant roles have given her the necessary skills to provide services to our advisors and clients in the brokerage and property management categories.

She strategically works alongside of our Director of Property Management to ensure that portfolios are being positioned in a way that helps them best serve the wide variety of clients they serve.
