Tom has always called West Michigan his home. Born and raised in Grand Rapids, he has a strong understanding of the core values that resonate throughout this community and West Michigan. After earning a degree in Computer Information Systems from Ferris State University, he honed his skills at Whirlpool Corporation in St. Joseph, transitioning from manufacturing management to commercial real estate back in Grand Rapids in 1991. Over the years, he fine-tuned his expertise in sales and leasing, playing a key role in landmark projects like the development of Bridgewater Place.
In 1995, Tom co-founded Paramount Properties LLC. His reputation as a go-to advisor grew as he took on challenging projects, including transforming corporate spaces into innovative hubs like the SWITCH Pyramid, now an iconic landmark in the region’s business landscape.
Beyond his professional accomplishments, Tom is deeply involved in his community. He’s an active member of the Commercial Alliance of Realtors and the Michigan Alliance of Realtors. Tom’s commitment extends to non-profit work, with over 15 years dedicated to volunteering for the Grand Rapids YMCA, where he served as a board chair for the Spartan Stores YMCA.
